Memories of Our Town is a foundational series of monotypes that explores the architecture of origin and the universal reality of the "somewhere." Rooted in my Honduran heritage, these prints serve as a quiet mapping of place, belonging, and the formative landscapes that shape our perspective.
In these works, the monotype process—with its unique, unrepeatable impressions—mirrors the nature of memory itself: vivid yet singular. By revisiting the imagery of my origins, I emphasize the interconnectedness of our global narratives, asserting that while our journeys vary, the structural significance of home is a shared human constant. This series serves as the conceptual anchor for my career-long investigation into how we carry our history with us as we cross borders and navigate new territories.
